Waggy's Walks are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy in line with GDPR regulation. In this statement, we'll cover when we collect personal information, why we collect it, how we use it, when we may disclose information to others and how we keep information secure.

This statement applies to all of Waggy's Walks' customers, members of our mailing lists, people seeking a job with Waggy's Walks and anyone else who visits our website or shares information with us.

When we collect your personal information:

  • When you enquire about and/or sign up to our services.

  • When you interact with us in-person, via the phone or digitally.

  • When you enter a Waggy's Walk competition.

Why we collect your personal information:

We collect your personal data to enable us to deliver the services requested and contact you regarding existing services, updates or notifications. We also use the information to send communications as requested.

How we use your information:

  • Where requested, we will send you marketing communications regarding our products, services, events, activities and more. We will only do this where we have documented consent from you to do so.

  • To contact you regarding the services or products that you have enquired about and/or signed up for.

  • To perform services and complete our obligations i.e. updates, invoicing, reminders etc.

  • To notify you of any disruption or updates to our services.

  • To gather feedback and seek input on how we might improve our services.

  • The legal basis we use:

  • We'll typically use your personal information to reply to enquiries, inform you about our services and stay in touch if you become a customer, therefore fulfilling our obligations as a service provider.

  • Where we are not fulfilling obligations, we will only collect, store and process your information if we have your explicit consent or if a legitimate interest exists.

The information we collect:

We collect the personal information of customers, including names, contact details, addresses and more. We also collect feedback, store enquiries and keep records of interactions with our customers.

Our website uses analytics and we may collect your IP-address and record actions taken by you on-site.

We do not collect, store or process any sensitive personal information. 

How long we keep your information:

We will store your information as long as is necessary for us to fulfil the purpose for which the information was collected and may retain your information for a period we deem to be reasonable following your last interaction with us. If you are a customer of Waggy's Walks, we will store your information for the duration of the relationship and for a reasonable period following our last interaction.

Once the information you have shared with us is no longer required, it will be deleted securely and permanently.

Your rights:

  • You have the right to request a copy of the information we're storing about you and to request corrections if the data is outdated or otherwise incorrect.

  • You have the right to withdraw your consent for us to process your information at any time, i.e. consent for us to send marketing communications. 

  • You have the right to request that any of your personal information is deleted once it is no longer necessary for the information to be stored and/or processed.

  • You have the right to restrict any further data processing in the event of a dispute related to the accuracy of information.

  • You have the right to object to the storage and processing of information based on legitimate interest.

Our use of website cookies:

We use cookies and analytics on our website to collect and store information that helps us to understand how our website is used and make your experience more efficient. This information can include but is not limited to your IP address, browser type, the actions you take on-site and where you found our website. 

Any information collected by our cookies or analytics cannot be used alone to personally identify you.

Sharing your personal information:

We do not share, sell or trade information with any third parties except where it's required by law or to sub-contractors where you have consented for us to do so. Any sub-contractors or third parties will be made to conform to this Privacy Policy.

Updating this Privacy Statement

We reserve the right to change and update this Statement at any time and encourage you to check the Statement regularly to ensure you remain happy with it. If we make any significant changes to the Statement, we'll notify you by telephone, email or post.

You have the right to lodge a formal complaint with the supervisory authority if you're unhappy with the way we store, process or otherwise use your information. In the first instance, we'd appreciate you lodging a complaint with us directly by emailing DPO@waggyswalks.co.uk.
